2011 Winona Steamboat Days Button

The Winona Steamboat Days Festival Committee unveiled the 2011 Button Design and revealed its creator at Bluffview Montessori School Wednesday morning. This year’s design winner is Abby Kline, a 5th grade student in Kristee Partington’s E2 class. Abby is the daugher of of Harry and Betty Kline, Winona.

Abby’s art teacher, Sandy Borkowski, includes the Button Design Contest as part of a winter assignment each year. Abbey loves art and has wanted to enter a design for the Steamboat Days button contest ever since second grade. Fifth grade was finally her year!

As The Design Winner, Abby will received a $100 gift certificate package, a plaque with her winning design, a ride in the Steamboat Days Kiddie and Grande Parade, and carnival armbands for her and her family.

Steamboat Days buttons will be available for sale at most Winona convince stores, retailers, restaurants and Midtown Foods and HyVee. With your advance button purchase of $5.00 you can register to win many great prizes donated by a variety of area merchants including a Wenonah Canoe!

Steamboat Days button sales help provide free events and activities for the festival such as the Powerboat Races, the Grande Parade and the Fireworks Show!
