2013 Kiddie Parade Winners
It didn’t rain on the Steamboat Days Kiddie Parade Friday! Winona Park and Recreation organizers pushed back the parade start time one hour and rain drops did not fall on any heads! Hundreds of children turned out for Parade. This year’s theme was Yummy Treats!
First Place Winner was Central Lutheran Church Daycare. Their float was designed after the popular children’s book “The Hungry Caterpillar”. Second Place went to Morgan Simpson with “Chicken Rock” Morgan’s float description was “My back yard chickens are egg producers and are funny, nice and you can’t have a bad day with them.” Third place went to Rita Prodzinski Daycare. Each child dressed as their favorite treat.
You can see First Place Winner Central Lutheran Church Daycare in the Steamboat Days Grande Parade Sunday, June 23rd. Parade starts at 12:31pm. The parade runs west on Broadway from St Charles Street to Center Street.
