Winona Steamboat Days 2015 button – Winner Abbey Kline
The Winona Steamboat Days Festival Committee unveiled the 2015
Button Design and announced its designer at Winona Senior High School Friday afternoon. This year’s design winner is Abbey Kline, daughter of Harry and Betty Kline. Abbey is a 9th-grade student at Winona Sr. High. Abbey also won the Steamboat Days Button Design contest in 2011 as a 5th student at Bluffview Montessori. This year the contest was open to only high school students grades 9 – 12.
As the Design Winner, Abbey will received a plaque with her winning design, a ride in the Kiddie Parade and Steamboat Days Grande Parade, personalized button to wear during steamboat days, t-shirt with her design on it, drinking glasses, and carnival armbands for her family.
Steamboat Days also awarded prizes to the Second Place to Alex Ludford and Third Place to Sarah Halverson with Honorable Mentions to Hanna Going, Destiny Pozanc and Brandon Lamberson.
Steamboat Days buttons will be available for sale at most Winona convenience stores, retailers, restaurants, Midtown Foods and HyVee by May 19th. With your advance button purchase of $5.00 you can register to win many great prizes donated by a variety of area merchants including a new Kayak from Wenonah Canoe!
